Urgently need companions or advice about the route "Leiria- Lagos" August 2010!

I plan my first bike trip in Portugal approximately between 26 August and 5 September.
7-8 days, 60 - 80 km per day. Please advise me an interesting route to the south of Portugal.
I will be happy to find a company for at least part of the trip.

Anyone transporting bicycles in Alfa and IC - trains? Is this possible? If so, should I disassemble the bike and pack it in the bag? How much does it cost? Thank you in advance!

 

"Bikes can be taken on the Alfa Pendular and Intercidades trains so long as they have the wheels removed and are packed as luggage that is no larger than the individual luggage space per passenger in the luggage racks or under the seats."
