New Alivio offers stylish recreational mountain bike components that will withstand tough riding conditions. These medium range components will upgrade the look and feel of any mountain bike and you don’t have to be afraid to ride it through a muddy singletrack. Get out and enjoy the fun, that’s what these components have been developed for!
The new group will be available in a silver and a black color version to offer maximum choice to the consumer. Also in the other components a wide range of specifications is available to meet market requests.
The crankset for example will be available in two models: with and without chaincase compatibility and in two color versions: black and silver. The chainring combination is 42-32-22 teeth and the crank arms have a square type mounting system. Most important feature of the front drivetrain is the HYPERDRIVE system for a new, higher standard of front shifting performance. Front drivetrain components of the new Alivio have been engineered as a system, working together for a quiet, easy and trouble free front shifting action. The chainring teeth, the patented spike pins of the SG-X chainrings, the rigid wide link front derailleur and the special profiles of the HYPERGLIDE chain links have all been developed as a system to create a smooth, quiet and precise shifting action, even under load.
The Alivio Top-Normal rear derailleur is compatible with 7 and 8-speed cassette sprockets. It has a wide link design for extra rigidity, two 13 teeth pulleys and is compatible with a 34 teeth sprocket. Alivio has Rapidfire Plus shifters with clear gear indicators located on top of the handle bar. The V-Brakes have cartridge brake shoes and feature longer brake arms (107mm) compared to previous versions for more mud guard clearance.
These medium range mountain bike components will offer an excellent performance in combination with an attractive design. With this upgrade, Alivio will have a bright future in the recreational mountain biking world.
