I am coming to Portugal from England on the 18th of january and i am looking for route advice near or within driving distance of vilamoura where i will be staying at the prado villas...

I will be there for a week... even better would be some local riders to go out with:)

    Any help appreciated

Hello Paul, welcome to Portugal and our Forum.

I'm from up north but there is a group that I'm sure will welcome you and they ride really close to Quarteira. You can check some of their reports here check the ones about BTT Mem Moniz.

Hang on; I'm sure they will reply here soon.

P.S. If you have a GPS you can find some (few) tracks here http://www.bravellir.com/tracks4you/tracks4you.php

We have lots of places very nices ( grande zézé camarinha) to show you, and partner of cycles Biculas (um chato do carraças ) have the tracks for GPS. Hi Paul,
i can arrange a ride with you on Wednesday or Thursday morning since those are my days off, just let me know if you want to go a couple of days before. If not possible on those days, we will meet on Sunday with Biculas and DOC in the same area i would take you for the ride. If you are fit for the TransPortugal you better bring a rope to drag me
One thing about the Sunday ride, NEVER talk about music with Biculas, NEVER

    Hi Luciano...

I should be able to ride wednesday 24th if you have a route to show me... i will definately be out on the group ride on sunday ( and i won't talk about music with Biculas :) )

Another question where was the picture in your avatar taken with the shark?

Looks like i'm going to have a busy holiday riding... just need to find some horse riding places to entertain my girlfriend:)

I saw that picture on the web site of the diving school where i took my diving training, http://www.boradive.com/ , i don't have any good underwater pictures from there because i only had a disposable camera. You can also check some diving pictures from the Vilamoura area in http://www.forumbtt.net/index.php?topic=9401.0

    Biculas

P.S. Sorry Paul for writing in Portuguese, but I'm inviting anyone who wants to show up on the 21st, to join us.

    Cheers

    Roberto (Biculas)

    paul78,

My post above has been edited... I apologize for any misunderstood! In fact after reading my post again, I noticed a couple "smiles" which twisted the content of the whole message! I'm sorry for that...
I'm also sorry I live in the North like Bravellir, and for that reason I won't be able to have a ride with you! ;)
Have some really nice rides here in Portugal! Always with great groups and athletes if possible! :)

    Best Wishes
